Abstract
Nearly 25 years after the dissolution of the Soviet Union, all of the countries in the region are actively engaged in the process of reforming their health care systems, with various degrees of success. This issue’s Observer section looks in closer detail at the main challenges andachievements in the former Soviet countries.
