Investing for a safe and healthy Georgia: WHO Health Emergencies Programme at the country level
Abstract
The European Region is part of a highly interconnected world. Diseases can spread at the speed of an aeroplane, and people fleeing emergencies often cross international frontiers. Recent striking examples of international emergencies with repercussions in Europe are the outbreaks of the Ebola and Zika viruses, and the Syrian humanitarian crisis.Citation
