Promoting dementia-inclusive communities : a strategic communications toolkit
Other Titles
Abstract
As populations across the Western Pacific Region continue to age, the number of people living with dementia, as well as the overall burden associated with this disease, is expected to increase significantly in the coming years. Raising awareness, mobilizing stakeholders, and providing tools for community engagement will be key to a public health response to this significant threat to mental health and well-being.
In order to promote dementia-inclusive communities, and in line with the global initiative "Towards a dementia-inclusive society", WHO has developed a strategic communication toolkit. The toolkit contains essential information about dementia, case studies, and a full range of multi-media materials that are applicable across different communication channels.
