Abstract
The Global status report on violence prevention (GSRVP) 2014 focuses on interpersonal violence, which includes: child maltreatment, youth violence, intimate partner violence, sexual violence and elder abuse. Data cover 133 countries, representing 88% of the world's population. Eight countries in the South- East Asia (SEA) Region participated in the survey, covering 97% of the population in the Region. This regional fact sheet contains information from the global status report with additional information from other sources to elucidate the situation in the SEA Region.
