The information covers the demographic indicators, mortality, nutrition status, and coverage of the core interventions for newborn and child health, as well as water and sanitation situation. It also highlights the existing socio-economic disparities in newborn and child health in relation of mortality and intervention coverage levels. The publication reflects the progress in newborn and child health at the country and regional levels towards achievement of the MDG 4.
